What's this about?[/title]
Tesco is hosting free BabySafe courses across the UK, alongside experts from the British Red Cross. The seminars, which last two hours, will teach parents or carers how to deal with emergencies such as burns or choking. They'll get the chance to practice on baby mannequins.

Online tutorials[/title]
Alternatively, you can now get free British Red Cross First Aid lessons, watchable online. The tutorials are aimed at the parents of 0-5 yr olds, but of course anyone can benefit.
The aim is to build the confidence of parents in a variety of life-saving situations, so that they can act if the circumstance arises.
For each topic there's a video, animation, audio and Q&A for you to choose from, helping you learn in a variety of different ways.
The course covers 5 key areas: CPR, burns, choking, high temperatures and the recovery position.

Not a UK offer by the look of it - just England?
Good initiative though. Hope they extend it to the rest of the UK.0 -

It may be worth asking at your local surestart centre as they run courses throughout the year. I've just finished mine, free of charge and have made some really good friends locally from it.

I am pursuing a first aid training course from A to E Training & Solutions here in UK. They are really friendly people and train you well. I hope I am able to help as many people as I can with my knowledge and skills from this course.0
