Don't rush...it can make all the difference.
Take homemade cakes as an example. The times I have made an all in one victoria sponge and it's been ok but a bit on the heavy side. Then when I've had/made the time I cream the butter til white/work the sugar in until the fluffiest, work one egg in at a time and gently fold the flour in the results come out so much better and while you've saved money you have a cake just as soft and light as a shop bought (with all additives)
I'm sure there are plenty of other foods that will be much more outstanding when not rushed.
Suggestions would be nice.
