Debt free direct have sent me all of the details, but I am looking for some advise from you, independently.
I cannot go on much longer like I am, but I do not want to declare myself bankrupt.
I am alos a homeowner with my girlfriend.
Comments would be appreciated.

Do they charge? Most people use payplan or CCCS as they dont charge. I was on the verge of siging up with a fee charging comapny, i didn't-thanks to this board. I would contact payplan or cccs

I cannot confirm or deny. I would imagine someone here will. You may wish to change your subject title to something like 'Debtfree Direct - Do they Charge?' it may attract more attention?!?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hi there my oh and I looked at our finances and thought that we could not continue and I rang National Debt Line and they told us we should go for an IVA as we apparently could not manage. I have to say we read through the stuff and felt that we really really did not want to do that as at some point we will need to buy a house and we were worried about the effect on our credit scoring- then I found this site and have completely changed our attitudes and what we do with our money we have given our selves 6 months to see what we can acheive to see if we can muddle though and just pay off what we owe you will see by ny signature we owe lots we rent, only one of us works full time I work saturdays and we have 2 kids only one of which is at school, by stopiing the unnecessary and cutting the spending reorganising cc etcs we are still muddling through
Please really think before you do anything, not that I am knocking theses advice people but they couldnt give me any help until we filled the paperwork and There is just no info for people who are nearly in it and treading water only those who are right in it - we think we have caught ourselves just in time and are determined to do it on our own, 6 months time we will know but they said with an IVA we could be free in 7 years well if we pay everything off we will be anyway
So please really really really think before you make any hasty decisions.
It really is amazing what you acheive with a rocket up your butt and the support from this website.0 -
Do not use debt free direct, they make a profit ...which means from YOU. yes yes i know they give free advice and dont charge you a fee as such, they simply deduce it from your payment before passing the residual to your creditors which means it takes longer to finish.
go to payplan or cccsEU tariff on agricultual product 12.2%

yes like all insolvency practitioners they take a large chunk of your IVA contributions before making payments to creditors. all IPs charge some more than others. I would go with one recommended by CAB or CCCS.0

Hi, I'd advise to not go anywhere near Debt Free Direct. They do charge, they just say that the creditors pay there fee, which is a scam cause you pay the creditors, and they take there money from that. Believe me I know, I'm with them and wish I wasn't! Like everyone else has said go with payplan or cccs0

Sadly I think CCCS do recommend debt free direct!!. They said they use one of three IP's and I asked who and I'm sure Debt Free Direct was one of them. They recommended Baker Tilly to me but I think it's just done in turn.0
