could anyone tell me what a random audit check is, apparently my mortgage is ready to be offered but they are doing a random audit check, thanks

Can't believe they told you lol.
Basically somebody checking that it has been correctly underwritten and all the appropriate verifications (e.g. income etc) obtained.
Should be nothing to worry about.0 -
It's their own internal risk management function - they're just checking that all internal underwriting/administrative procedures have been followed. Shouldn't be a problem as long as all the relevant documentation has been requested by them and supplied by you.0

thanks for replies, its been such a long slow process and now this! Trust it to be my case. Do they not tell normally tell you when they are doing one of these?0
