Just shows what a rip-off the others are for fruit and veg. Lidl quality is generally high as well, but not always.

yeah makes tesco look awfully overpriced!!
  • Great, I was just wondering how i would find this out! thank you
  • They might be 'only' 34p, but the 'bargain' avocados in my local Lidl were small, and hard as bullets - I've had problems with Lidl avocados before where they've been kept in cold store too long, and subsequently won't ripen properly but just go black. I did buy a couple yesterday, but even keeping them with some bananas, I expect them to take a week to ripen. Time will tell!

I've had similar problems with the mangos, they often go bad before they even ripen enough to eat. Most of the fruit and veg is good value though.
