    A UNESCO City of Literature (as well as a World Heritage site) it has been home to Sir Walter Scott, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Robert Louis Stevenson and continues to provide inspiration to our favourite contemporary writers like Ian Rankin, Alexander McCall Smith and JK Rowling.(HERE)
