The BT Internet Ranger of the Year Awards aim to find and reward the most dedicated young internet teachers from around the UK. The 2008 Awards are now open for nominations so if you’re a young person aged 16 or under who has helped teach an older person how to use the internet you could be in with a chance of winning a new laptop, £250 of IT vouchers and a trip to the top of the BT Tower in London to collect your prizes. Five runners up will also win a laptop.
To enter, just tell us how you helped teach an older person how to use the internet. You can enter yourself or be nominated by someone else. You can also make a video entry.Enter now!
To enter, simply tell us your Internet Ranger story. You can submit your entry online (200 words max) or you can upload a video submission (2 minutes max) You can enter yourself, or you can be nominated by an adult.
Tips:
The judges will be looking for information on things like:
- Who did you help?
- Why?
- How did you feel about teaching someone older than you?
- What difference did it make to the person you were teaching?
- Did you enjoy being an Internet Ranger?
