TV survival expert and adventurer Bear Grylls has put down his rucksack to write Mission: Survival Gold Of The Gods – the first book in a new adventure series for 7-11 year olds.
Beck Granger is on a trip to Colombia with his anthropologist uncle to visit Don Rafael de Castillo, a descendent of a great explorer who believes he knows where to find a lost City of Gold.
But when his uncle and Don are kidnapped, Beck has to set off into the jungle to rescue his uncle and find the lost city. An adventure that sees him building rafts, tackling river rapids, making camp and avoiding wild animal attacks.
