On June 27 and 28 some of the biggest stars in the UK charts including Mark Ronson, KT Tunstall and Sam Sparro, will be taking to the stage in the magnificent grounds of Bowood House for what promises to betwo spectacular days of live music.
Headlining Friday is the Britand Grammy award winning musician and producer of the moment Mark Ronson, who will be performing with his live band The Version Players. With his double platinum selling album Version and a string of collaborations under his beltwith the likes Amy Winehouse on the hit single Valerie, Lily Allen andAdele, Mark's mesmeric live performances are first class.
Supporting Mark will be Calvin Harris whose 2007 album I Created Disco contained the huge hits Acceptable In The 80s and TheGirls, which both stormed their way into the UK Top 10. If that is notenough for you, current chart topper Sam Sparro, who with his debut single Black and Gold has smashed his way into the music scene, is also on the line up.
Day two of the Rose Tree Jam sees the multi award wining singer/songwriter KT Tunstall headlining. After breaking into the public eyewith a performance on Later with Jools Holland with her song BlackHorse and the Cherry Tree, Tunstall has gone on to receive massive critical and commercial success with her albums Eye To The Telescope and DrasticFantastic selling in excess of four million copies.
Supporting Tunstall are the band Athlete whose most famous songs include Wires, HalfLight, and Hurricane.They have seen similar success, with theiralbum Tourist hitting the No1 spot in the UK album charts and in 2006 picking up a much coveted Ivor Novello Award.
Also across the two days there will be performances from burgeoning talents such as Natty, Cut /// Copy, Royworld, Sam Isaac and a whole host of fresh and localacts.
Think live music, grass between your toes, sun on your face, a few drinks with friends, that is what The Rose Tree Jam is about, and we have booked the sunshine!
Tickets for each day are only £30 with the gates opening at 2pm and performances finishing at approx 11.30pm.
