I'm late to the party as I've been away for a couple of days. Actually I think it's 106: 104 plus the Hoboken 4 = 108, but #105 isn't really a symphony but a symphonie concertante and #106 no longer survives, so it could be 106. You pays your money and you takes your choice!!! LOL :D

It will be very interesting to see which number Classic FM goes for!

Yes, 104 are listed, but interestingly the note after them agrees with what I said above:

Hoboken also includes four other works in his "Symphony" category (Hob. I):
    • Hob. I/105 in B flat major, better known as the Sinfonia Concertante for violin, cello, oboe and bassoon (1792)
    • Hob. I/106, for which only one part has survived (1769?)
    • Hob. I/107 in B flat major, often known not by a number but as Symphony A (composed by 1762)
    • Hob. I/108 in B flat major, often known not by a number but as Symphony B (composed by 1765)
It should be noted that Hob. I/105 is not really a symphony, but a symphonie concertante, and as No. 106 has not survived to the present day, the number of "symphonies" by Haydn is usually reckoned to be 106.[1]
