The Diving Bell and the Butterfly is released on DVD on 9 June, and to celebrate, we have four copies available to give away. Offer closes 27 June.
Synopsis
Jean-Dominique Bauby (Amalric), the editor of French Elle, suffers a stroke at the age of 43 that paralyses his entire body, apart from his left eye. Able to communicate only through blinking, he writes a memoir, with the help of nurses who read out the alphabet until he indicates the desired letter, taking dictation one letter at a time. With their help, Bauby is able to describe what he feels trapped inside a body that no longer functions, but also his hopes and imaginings. Adapted from Bauby’s memoir of the same name.
