Classic Cars compliment Borde Hill's beauty - Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Porsche, Lamborghini and Morgan Sunday 1st June 10am-4.00 pm

Borde Hill has developed a series of events to compliment the magnificent setting and grace of the Garden. For many, the combination of nature and engineering has always had great appeal, none more so than Classic Cars when displayed against a backdrop as beautiful and dramatic as Borde Hill House and Garden.
This year is no exception when some 150 examples of perhaps the top five classic marques will be on display. Visitors will be able to view vehicles spanning eight decades from 1920's Rolls Royce through to present day Porsche in the unique environment that is Borde Hill.
The South Eastern and Central Southern Sections of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club and the Sussex Region of the Porsche Club Great Britain will be at Borde Hill on Sunday 1st June showing some of their finest vehicles. Lamborghini and Morgan sports cars will be on display as well.
The vehicles will arrive from 10.00 am and make their way to selected vantage points in the Garden.
Early (1960s) and modern Porsche cars will gather on the colourful Azalea Ring; and, circa 30 pre-war and post-war Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars will be on the South Lawn with a backdrop of the Tudor Mansion together with Morgan cars. Lamborghini sports car will be in front of the Mansion.
This event will appeal not only to enthusiasts of classic motoring, but also to anyone who enjoys the very finest in automotive engineering design. The contrast between man made and natural beauty and elegance will be there for all to appreciate and debate will surely follow as to which gives the greatest pleasure.
The cars will be on display until 4.00 pm when they will leave Borde Hill in a cavalcade of style and elegance, providing a fitting finale to a grand day out.
Listed by English Heritage as of Grade II* historic importance, this year is the 43rd anniversary of the first public opening of the Garden as a registered charity; and 103rd celebration of Warren Wood, a copse containing nine champion trees.

Created over a century ago by Colonel Stephenson Robert Clarke, Borde Hill Garden is today one of the most popular gardens of Sussex.
The Garden is open 21st March to 3rd September and each season brings its own attractions. To enable full enjoyment, Friends' tickets are available, the ideal gift for all garden lovers.
In addition to the Garden, Borde Hill hosts many varied events throughout the year. Other attractions include the children's adventure playground, fishing lakes, Caf! Elvira, Jeremy's Restaurant (Good Food Guide 2008) and the new Green Tree Art Gallery.
Admission prices are: £7.50 per adult; £6.50 for senior citizens/groups and £4.00 per child. Dogs are permitted on a lead and pathways throughout the formal Garden provide easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Borde Hill, located near Haywards Heath in West Sussex is only an hour from London and 20mins from Brighton and Gatwick.
