Good Morning All,
Tuesday 13th May
Please post here if you get any of today's newspapers or have the chance to look through one.
Please tell us if any of them contain coupons or freebies or vouchers OR NOT !
Important details are:
The cost of the newspaper
Whether it's a regional edition
Page number
Expiry date of the voucher
Whether it's store specific and has a barcode (POST the BARCODE NUMBER if possible)
Remember if you go shopping look in as many newspapers as you can.
Post even if you don't see any coupons, and mention any offers that you see.
Below you'll find a list of the abbreviations and how to interpret them.

HOWEVER, the small print with the expiry date, on the £1.50 coupon, is very blurry! It could not be read by the SA who was not happy to accept it..... luckily, I had a DM in my trolley:rolleyes: so I could show her it was in todays paper so was definately in date;) . I just thought I would warn peeps as I bought 4 DM's today, each from different shops, and all the expiry dates were blurry!
This could be regional but worth checking before purchasing mountains of them, as I know my local stores are getting stricter and do check the expiries. If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.
My way is Atkins0 -
So does that mean we can use the coupons to get money off 'normal' shopping in Tesco without having to buy the specified items? I'm still confused by all these 99/NSS codes and a bit nervous of using coupons for products other than the ones specified.
TIA,
Monkey0 -
Oh, and do they work on the self-service checkouts as well?0

It will depend on your specific store and even the SA in that store, but in general you do not have to buy the product, so long as Tesco stock it. They do work on ss tills but it may ask for authorisation. Buy a couple of papers and try it in your store. If the sa says no then just smile sweetly and try again next time with someone different.
