Terms & Conditions
1.Ents24 Gig@GuilFest 2008 is open to all UK and ROI artists aged 16 or over except for employees of Ents24 and their families
2.All entrants must register and provide all the required details by 9am on the 19th May. By registering you agree to abide to the terms and conditions listed here.
3.No purchase is necessary
4.The competition is run subject to English law.
5.The winning band must be available on Sunday 6th July between 12pm and 3pm. By registering in the competition you agree to perform at this time on the Ents24 stage at GuilFest and agree to partake in any associated press coverage.
6.By registering you agree and have clearance from any management companies or commercial partners for the use of your name and photographic image for publicity material on the Ents24 website and parties explicitly associated with Ents24 Gig@GuilFest 2008.
7.Registration details used will not be sold to any third parties, however you acknowledge that by entering the Ents24 Gig@GuilFest 2008. Competition, certain personal information or data about you will be captured electronically and kept on a database. The use of this data will conform to the Data Protection Act 1998. Associated parties (record labels) may request your details, however these will not be revealed without prior consent from you.
8.Ents24 will not offer cash alternatives in whole or in part for any prizes offered.
9.Ents24 reserve the right to disqualify any fraudulent, offensive, inappropriate or repeated submissions. All MP3s submitted will be vetted for their suitability for public consumption and editing may be made to obscure any offensive words or sounds. Ents24 reserve the right to request an alternative MP3 if a breach of this clause occurs, or to disqualify the entrant.
10.MP3s submitted are provided with the intention to allow the public to freely stream the submission at their own discretion. By submitting your song to Ents24 you are allowing it to be freely distributed via CD at the festival and for a period of 6 months after the competition ends (23rd June 2008)
11.The MP3 will remain on the website for free streaming by Ents24 users until we are advised otherwise.
12.All entrants must use original material. Covers will not be eligible.
13.Proof of winners' eligibility to enter the prize draw may be required.
14.The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
15.Every user on Ents24 has the right to vote for as many bands as they like, however only one vote per band will be counted.
16.Any attempt to fraudulently increase the number of votes received for a band will be taken seriously and could end in the band being disqualified from the competition, or votes being cancelled.
17.In the event that the final 5 cannot be established due to identical numbers of votes, all equal scoring parties under dispute will go through to the next stage to be judged by the expert panel.
18.Ents24 reserves the right to withdraw the competition at anytime without prior notice.
19.Travel expenses to and from the festival will be refunded to a maximum amount of £100 subject to submission of valid receipts by 31st August 2008.
20.Winners will be notified by e-mail or telephone no later than the 23rd June and must be available for an interview or to give comment on the 20th June date for the official announcement on the 23rd.
21.Ents24 accept no liability for any consequential injury, damage or loss, arising from participation in the competition.
22.Ents24 Gig@Guilfest is primarily aimed at unsigned bands, however bands signed to independent record labels, or classed as emerging bands will be eligible to enter the competition at Ents24's discretion. In entering the competition, you, your management or any associated commercial partners agree to all the terms and conditions listed.
23.The recording session with the Olympic Studios can be taken at any time subject to availability. It is the winning band's responsibility to negotiate the slot with a representative of the studios. All contact details for the studio will be provided to the winner from Ents24.com.
24.The winner must have made booking arrangements for their studio session prior to the 31st August 2008 otherwise they risk loosing their right to the day session.
25.A day session is classed as a 10-hour day with an engineer. No backline equipment will be provided and the winner will have to bring their own equipment i.e. guitars, amps etc. Recording equipment and mics will be made available as per the equipment lists on the Olympic Studio website.
26.The winner will receive a DVD of the day's recording.
27.Only members of the band will be allowed into the session.

Voting starts on the 20th May and the top five bands with the most votes by the closing date of the 16th June, will be submitted to the panel of music industry experts where one winner will emerge victorious on the 23rd June 2008.
