Rich & Healthy

Can you think of a better way to enjoy a balmy summer's evening than listening to some of the world's best musicians, while relaxing in the sumptuous gardens of Hampton Court Palace? From 3-21 June, the Hampton Court Palace Festival is staging a series of star-studded concerts, featuring Van Morrison, Ray Davies from the Kinks, Michael Ball and opera singer Katherine Jenkins. It all comes to a magnificent conclusion on 21 June with the Tchaikovsky Festival Finale, featuring violinist Nicola Benedetti and Sophie Cashell, winner of BBC's Classical Star competition. For more details, visit hamptoncourtfestival.com
Good Housekeeping has teamed up with the Festival to offer one lucky reader and a guest an exclusive VIP treat. The winner and guest will stay at the five-star Athenaeum Piccadilly Hotel in a deluxe double room for one night and will be chauffeur-driven to and from the concert of their choice. Champagne will be served on arrival followed by a sumptuous meal in one of the State Apartments from a menu designed by Gordon Ramsay in association with Absolute Taste. After dinner, the winner will watch the concert in top price undercover seats and receive a free souvenir programme and rug. In addition, ten runners-up will win a signed copy of Gordon Ramsay's book Healthy Appetite.

G'luck! :D

Thanks, rrickyuk. Hampton court is one of the most beautiful palaces in all of England and, when I was a young man, I could walk around it free of charge and I did many times.

It was gifted to the nation in perpetuity, on the basis that it should never charge people for entry, by Queen Victoria and guess what? this bunch of t*ssers in government today decided to overrule a binding promise made for the nation and start charging and, boy! do they charge now!
