Participants 'deposit' their time in the bank by giving practical help and support to other members and then are able to 'withdraw' their time when they need something done themselves.
Skills and services on offer inc gardening, basic DIY, catering, companionship, computer trainin and repair, cycle repair, decorating, guitar and piano lessons, ironing, leaflet distribution, massage, pet care, plant watering, transportation to name but a few.
Is any one a member of a Time Bank, there's one in my area and I'm thinking of joining. It's free to join and taking part does not affect your tax position or your entitlement to state benefits.
