I have two of these and like them very much. I mostly listen to spoken word rather than music so can only vouch for that. Very good quality for full price! Make great prezzies too.:D

Just bought one this morning and I'm rather impressed with it. Fantastic reception on dab and fm, in fact better on fm than my other two radios. Loads of dab channels and everything seems to work. My only downside comment is that the control buttons are all clustered around the volume dial so I've pressed the wrong button quite a few times and the presets need the shift button to get the4 to 8 preset, a bit fiddly needing two hands to change preset station. Oh yes sound is very good. Mains adapter included otherwise use 6 aa batteries. At this price I'd give it 9 out of ten. Go buy one if you want to try dab its amazing.

  • Got mine yesterday. It's "cheap and cheerful" and time will tell how long it will last but you can't complain for £15. Sound quality on DAB is decent from the small speaker. I find the buttons for tuning and preset give quite a loud click when pressed. The aerial is a telescopic extending one.

Regarding Ebeneezer's comment, as a general rule on DAB when the reception is there it's perfect, when reception is iffy then you get nothing. Reception on this radio is OK on DAB and FM for me, but then again we are in quite a strong reception area. I've no reason to think that it will be particularly good or bad.

Colmil: there's no separate clock display. However, you can cycle through the DLS display on the unit using one of the buttons. One of the DLS displays give you the time and date.

I've not had chance to try it on battery power yet. FYI, my experience with other radios shows that running on DAB eats batteries very quickly.

To sum up: it's got to be a bargain for £15.

P.S. As of yesterday afternoon, they had *loads* of them in ASDA in Birchwood, Warrington.

I got my first one just about 12 months ago. Used every day and still fine:D
I was alarmed about the loud clicking noise on channel change at first, you get used to it;)

Just visited the Asda in Kingston upon Thames, assuming it would be too small to have any, and they had about eight, so I picked one up. Thanks!

ASDA were advertising this offer in the national papers today so they may be a run on stocks. I bought one today in Nuneaton and there were about ten left on the shelf. Great buy with reception better than a top brand which I already own.
