Volkwagen Touareg and James Purdey & Sons have teamed up to offer 12 lucky H&H readers a day out with a difference
Whether a practised shot or complete beginner, this shooting and off-roading experience, run in conjunction with James Purdey & Sons, promises to be a day of entertainment and exhilaration.
Since its establishment in 1814, Purdey has been regarded by the world's most distinguished sportsmen as one of the finest makers of sporting guns and rifles. Former chairman Richard Purdey, himself a keen Touareg driver, will play host to this exceptional event that blends challenging off-road Touareg driving and a rare opportunity to shoot with Purdey guns in the company of true experts.
At the West London Shooting School in Northolt on 15 July, you'll shoot a number of different stands under the watchful eye of a professional instructor. From historic shotguns, to the finest examples from Purdey's most recent sporting range, a wide selection of Purdey guns will be available for you to experience first hand.
You'll then head for challenging terrain where a fleet of Touaregs await, ready to be put through their paces off-road, adding further excitement to an already exhilarating day.
In the comfort of our vehicles, and in the safe hands of our expert driving team, you'll lead the cars across rough ground, negotiating steep side slopes, deep muddy ruts and vertiginous climbs along the way. You will then return to the shooting school for a delicious lunch hosted by Richard Purdey.
