Ella’s Kitchen On-Pack Promotion with ‘Horton Hears a Who’

Terms and Conditions
Promoter: Ella’s Kitchen (Brands) Limited (‘Ella’s Kitchen’), PO Box 2296, Reading, RG4 7WJ. Please retain this address for future reference.

The competition is open to all children up to the age of 14 resident in the UK, excluding Ella’s Kitchen employees, their families, agents or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.

All entrants must ensure the entry form is completed with a parent or guardian’s signature. Failure to include a parent or guardian’s signature will invalidate the entry. All entry forms must be sent by e-mail to Horton@ellaskitchen.co.uk or by post to: ‘Horton Competition’, Ella’s Kitchen, PO Box 2296, Reading, RG4 7WJ.

Entries can be hand written or typed. Entries submitted by email should be sent as an attachment to the competition form, and should be in MS Word or compatible format.

All entries, once submitted, will become the property of Ella’s Kitchen and may be used by Ella’s Kitchen or third parties approved by Ella’s Kitchen in any subsequent publicity or may be uploaded to Ella’s Kitchen website.

Entrants accept that if they win, Ella’s Kitchen shall have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use their name for the purpose of announcing the winners of this competition.

All entries must be received by midnight on 31.08.08. Ella’s Kitchen does not accept responsibility for lost, damaged or illegal entries and proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery.

Illegible, incomplete and altered entries will be disqualified.

A panel of judges, including one independent member, will judge entries. Judging will be based on which stories have been written in the most imaginative and inventive way, taking age into consideration. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

All prizewinners will receive confirmation that they have won a prize via e-mail or telephone by 21.09.08. The parent or guardian of the winners must reply within 30 days of notification. If Ella’s Kitchen receives no response within 30 days, Ella’s Kitchen reserves the right to select other winners. A list of winners’ abbreviated names will be available by sending a SAE marked ‘Ella’s Kitchen / Horton Competition’ to the entry address above between 21.09.08 and 19.10.08.

All prizes are non-transferable. No cash alternative is available for any prize. In the unlikely event that any of the prizes are unavailable, Ella’s Kitchen reserves the right to substitute a prize which it may determine to be of equal value.

The prizes to be won are:

One exclusive family 5-night holiday trip to Hollywood, USA. Package based on 4 adults or a family of four. A family of four is 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 11 years. Adults are guests over 11 years old on date of travel. Prize includes economy class air travel from local UK departure point, and 5 nights bed and breakfast accommodation in a 4 star hotel. Accommodation is based on 4 people sharing. Transfers between airport in USA and hotel are included. The holiday includes the following events for 4 persons – (1) Trip to Los Angeles zoo, including transport and entrance fee for 4 persons (2) bespoke animated storyboard featuring scene(s) from winners story, (3) 2-hour private limousine tour of Hollywood Stars homes, (4) US$300 spending money, (5) VIP tour of Twentieth Century Fox Studios including a Fox / Horton goody bag per person, (6) LA city guide.

The trip must be taken within 12 months of prize notification and cannot be taken at Easter, Christmas, New Year or Public Holidays. Once confirmed in writing, travel dates and those travelling are not changeable. Full worldwide travel insurance per person is included. Winners are responsible for any additional expenses, including all incidentals, not listed as part of the prize package above. Specified accommodation & activities subject to availability at time of booking. Activities are subject to supplier terms and conditions. Travel dates are restricted to availability at Fox Studios and will be set by IMS Ltd.

Ten runner up prizes, each comprising of - 1 exclusive limited edition fine art film pieces of ‘Horton Hears a Who’ scenes from the movie; 1 creative drawing & writing set; 1 ‘Horton Hears A Who’ goody bag containing 1 character pen, 1 ‘Grow a Who’ kit, 1 noise maker, 1 kazoo and 1 pack of pairs cards.

All entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Personal information about prizewinners will be shared with third parties authorised by Ella’s Kitchen only to the extent necessary for prizes to be delivered to the prizewinners.

Ella’s Kitchen reserves the right to change, modify, or cancel the present competition if circumstances require it and having arranged this competition in good faith does not accept any liability relating to the prizes. Send entries by post or email to the address below.
