KEEP your teeth in tip-top health by entering this competition to win an HSA Dental Survey 2008 goody bag, including an electric power toothbrush.
April 1 marked the second anniversary of the NHS Dental Contracts, which were introduced to give people easier access to an NHS dentist. The reality is that for many people these contracts have made life more difficult Recent figures have shown that 500,000 people across England have lost access to an NHS dentist since the changes. For a lot of people seeing a private dentist is now the only option. That means charges may be higher, so it's worth considering dental plans, like those from HSA, where you can spread the cost of your care, whether it's on the NHS or private.
To coincide with the anniversary, the results of the Dental Survey 2008 have been released. The research provides a snapshot of the state of dentistry in the UK today, looking at cost, quality of treatment and access, and will hopefully encourage us all to listen to do the best by our teeth in 2008.
