Got a garage? - make some money!

I have just done this and thought others might be able to as well.
I have a garage that I don;t use as I park my car on the drive. I have just rented it out as storage for £45/month for seven months, paid upfront, which is £315 towards my pesky credit card debt.
I used to rent it out for £50/month a while ago but the tenant never paid on time, so this time I agreed a pay-up-front deal which gives me a lump sum, and the option to extend the period later.
Most people I know don;t use their garages, so I thought other people could do this too? Advertise in your local paper or for free on gumtree.com (where I got my tenant from although he was advertising for storage space).
Hope this helps someone.

Have a Garage boot type of sale. You would be amazed what prices some people pay for what you consider junk.

I've got a contract saying insurance, legality of goods, etc., is the responsibility of the tenant. Anyway, I've seen the stuff and it's all a set for a theatre company, mostly bits of wood! DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
