1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions. By entering the promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Entries must comply with these terms and conditions to be valid.

2. Entry is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over. Employees, agents or representatives of the HMV Group plc group of companies, Paramount, a division of paramount, and their respective advertising and promotional agencies, and members of their respective immediate families and those domiciled with said families are ineligible to enter.

3. The promotion commences closes at 11.59pm GMT on 12 June 2008 (“Promotional Period”). Any Entries (as defined below) received after the Promotional Period will not be accepted.

4. Participants may enter the promotion by visiting www.hmv.com during the Promotional Period and completing and submitting the online entry form for the promotion (“Entry”). No purchase necessary. A limit of one Entry per e-mail address applies. If more than one Entry is submitted, only the first Entry submitted from an e-mail address will be accepted. Ineligible or fraudulent Entries shall be void. Entrants will be deemed to have authorized the Promoter to check the completeness and accuracy of any information provided for the purpose of participating in this promotion. An entrant who has supplied inaccurate or fraudulent information will automatically be disqualified.

5. An independent random draw will take place on 21st June 2008. The first valid Entry drawn will win the prize. The winner will be notified by telephone or email. If the selected winner does not meet all of the terms and conditions contained herein, or cannot be contacted within 10 working days of the prize draw another winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible Entries and the original winner will forfeit any and all rights to the prize. The Promoter’s decisions concerning the determination of the winner and all matters relating to the prize draw are final and binding – no correspondence will be entered into.

6. The prize consists of a trip to New York for the winner and a guest, including two return adult economy return flights to New York departing from a London airport, twin-share accommodation for three nights at a four star hotel, Sex and the City location tour, excursion to Bar Seine and a Designer outlet shopping excursion with spending money. The prize must be taken before the end of March 2009, excluding July – October 2008. Travel is not permitted over Christmas, New Year, Easter & Bank Holidays. Any other exclusion dates specified if applicable. Insurance is not included but can be at an additional cost. Please note where insurance is included, we are not able to insure winners with pre-existing medical conditions. The prize does not include any other costs incurred by the winner and their guest not mentioned above. Both the winner and their guest must be over the age of eighteen and must have valid travel documentation, including a passport valid for at least 90 days for the duration of the holiday and visas (as applicable), and shall be responsible for complying with any customs, immigration and other regulatory requirements for entering the United States.

7. Before the prize is awarded, the winner and any person sharing the prize may be required to sign a Prize Acceptance Form.

8. The prize must be accepted as awarded, is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.

9. The Promoter reserves the right to amend the specification of the prize (or any part thereof) although every effort will be made to provide a prize of similar quality and value.

10. By entering the promotion, entrants consent to the use of their names, place of residence, photograph and/or image for publicity purposes in all media carried out by the Promoter without payment or compensation.

11. All Entries become the property of the Promoter, who assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected Entries or for any failure of the web site during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or Entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any web site, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the prize draw should a virus or bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter corrupt the security or proper administration of the prize draw. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Promoter reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically MV reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way.

12. For name/county of winner, please send a stamped addressed envelope marked ‘HMV Sex And The City Competition’ to the Promotions Department of HMV UK Ltd, Film House, 142 Wardour Street, London W1F 8LN after 1 July 2008. No entries should be sent to this address.
