SWMEE is the UK's most interactive model making show involving Model Engineering, Model Making and Hobbies for everyone.
Gracing the South West at the Royal Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet on April 12 and 13, this inaugural event has been tailored to suit everyone, young and old, beginner or fanatic.
Not only are there fantastic exhibition features from over 40 dedicated clubs all keen to display their extensive range of models, and a diverse range of retailers looking to fuel these hobby fanatics, there are also attractions aplenty to guarantee a great day out with the widest range of models actively being shown, flown, ridden and driven in and outside of the fabulous Shepton Mallet showground.
Feature areas include a boating lake with a diverse marine display; locomotive displays and rides; a fairground; amusement stalls; radio controlled model tanks; warships and working vessels and the first ever exhibit for a 1905 Victorian Steam Yacht.
Why not try some Tabletop Wargaming? Working in association with Games Workshop the balcony area of the Shepton Mallet showground will be populated with all aspects of Model Warfare, where seasoned pros and enthusiastic amateurs alike will be taking control of vast armies from chivalrous Knights to greenskinned Orcs.
Support has also been gained in the form of sponsorship from Armortek https://www.armortek.co.uk and SMI - scale models international.
Ticket prices on the door are £8 adults, £7 concessions and accompanied children under 16 are FOC.
With over 6,000 visitors expected over the two days it is wise to purchase tickets in advance at £2 off per ticket using offer code SWMSPR8.
