Bankruptcy Discharge

Today I found out that I have been discharged from bankruptcy a month early. It feels very weird, and the time has gone incredibly quick. I just can't believe its all over.
I am terribly embarassed about getting into so much debt, and often feel even worse when i read on here the incredible attempts by some people to work themselves out of debt.
I'm not looking for sympathy or anything here by the way, just saying I admire others attempts to avoid situations like mine. Unfortunately it had just gone too far for me; I wish I'd known about this site then, although I have since learned a lot about managing my money and I will never ever get into that situation ever, ever again please God!
Hmm, I don't know what else to say really. I've been posting on here since just before I went bankrupt and now here I am. I wish I had soemthing more poingnant to say, as today is like the final culmination of loads of problems I've had, money and otherwse, in the last two years finally coming together and being sorted. I guess what I would say is don't hide from your debts, discuss them and do everything you can to get help. I wish I had!
Anyhoo, just thought I'd share that.
EDIT:
Funnily enough today i called my bank (Co-op) with whom I have a basic bank account to see if I could open their most basic savings account next to the current account - and I got rejected! I didn't think I'd get rejected for such a simple savings account - I only wanted one for Christmas saving and stuff
but i guess I'm a risk in the banks eyes. If anyone has any experience of this kind of account where I might get accepted, I'd appreciate. I'm thinking of ING next.

he was pushed into a trust deed when his ex wife was SUPPOSED to be taking money out of account to pay bills whilst he worked over seas...
Mmmmm guess what!!! she wasnt... she was stashing the cash to set up home with her new fella!!!! so my mate copped for 40K...

so how do you recover from bankryptcy/trust deed, someome on here said he was daft to even think about getting a loan for a car... he should save up, thats fine, but how does he get to work in the meantime?
does he always have to live in a grotty horrible rented house? or should he get a mortgage? we have talked about getting a joint mortgage & sharing the house....
flamin woman (his ex wife) shes got a nice house, new husband and no worries.

My partner received his certificate of discharge last week, (3 years after being discharged, nobody told us about any certificate or that it cost, anyhoo, got it now), our bank is very friendly and have said that as soon as we get the bancruptcy cleared, so to speak, with Experian and Equifax, then we can upgrade our banking facilities.
As for "recovering", I think that is more of a personal choice. We are going to save for as much as we can and buy it cash (boyf loves to haggle), but, we do want to have a mortgage and buy our property as well as hopefully buying something in Spain too.
WELL DONE SMAM"And crawling on the planet's face,

Lost in time, and lost in space,
And meaning"0
