Never Forget, the acclaimed musical based on the songs recorded by Britain's favourite boy-band Take That, is taking to the road for a sell-out tour of the UK before making its West End Premiere at London's Savoy Theatre on Wednesday, May 7.
And to coincide with the tour, the Never Forget DVD will be available courtesy of Universal Pictures UK. The show was recorded live at the Manchester Opera House during the Summer 2007 tour that was enjoyed by more than 100,000 people in Cardiff, Manchester, Stoke, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The stage production, which features Take That's incredible catalogue of songs, is a feel-good romantic comedy about love, friendship, ambition and betrayal.
With an original story written by BAFTA award-winner Danny Brocklehurst (Shameless, Sorted, Clocking Off) and Guy Jones and Ed Curtis, Never Forget is a brand new musical about the unlikeliest of Take That tribute bands. Set in Manchester, Never Forget follows the rollercoaster journey of young hero Ash Sherwood', an aspiring singer-songwriter with dreams of making it big.
When mounting debts threaten the future of his mum's pub, Ash', along with his fianc!e Chloe, realises he needs to make something happen, and quickly. Along the way, Ash' and his new band mates soon discover that pretending to be someone else can sometimes help you discover who you really are. Packed with all the classic Take That songs, the show includes the Number One smash hits Relight My Fire, Pray, Back For Good, Babe and, of course, Never Forget.
This spectacular stage musical boasts technology never before seen on the West End stage. The show features a moving curtain of rain, water animation and a 10-foot high, 28-foot wide wall of fire.
Former Take That Manager Nigel Martin Smith said, "I thought the show was fabulous. It was so theatrical, just like the boys always were. It captured what Take That was all about - it was about having fun."
