No it happens even if you type in http://www.sci-fi-online.com and then click on Competitions at the top
.. though I was paranoid too to begin with!
Besides most of these companies are happy to have the extra traffic.. it's like free advertising!! I had no problems at all. Linked to Amazon just as normal.
