The greatest love story ever danced will be brought to life by one of the world's finest ballet companies.
Performing in London for the first time in 27 years, Stuttgart Ballet's full company of 70 dancers will bring John Cranko's acclaimed Romeo and Juliet to the historic stage of the London Coliseum. To celebrate we have a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky winner.
Since its premiere in 1962, Cranko's interpretation of Romeo and Juliet has remained among the best-loved ballet adaptations of this timeless tragedy.
Prokoviev's dramatic score combined with lavish renaissance sets and costumes vividly evoke a sun-baked Verona with all its bitter family feuds, tragic twists of fate and passionate encounters.
A showcase for classical ballet at the highest level, this production is known for its dazzling 'Stuttgart lifts' – fiendishly difficult to execute, but astonishing to watch.
The New York Times says "...a ballet to please virtually everyone. Cranko's Romeo and Juliet is arguably the best treatment, at least in the West, of Prokofiev's celebrated ballet score".
