Virgin Radio have teamed up with Gillette Champions to give you the chance to win a truly amazing prize...
We’re giving you the chance to come down to the Virgin Radio studios on Golden Square on Tuesday 25 March for an evening with some top ex-professional footballers to take part in a question and answer session.
There’s no question the face of football has changed dramatically over the years. It's much more than just a game. Just like Gillette Fusion, modern science and technology has improved every single element.
Prize details...
You could be one of fifteen lucky Virgin Radio listeners that will get the chance to bring a friend down to London (travel and accommodation included) to meet three ex-football stars and put their questions to them about football back in their day and how it compares to football today.
You'll be spending the evening with Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier, ex Chelsea, Man Utd, AC Milan and England international Ray Wilkins and former Spurs captain Gary Mabbutt...
Ray Wilkins...Ray Wilkins career spanned an incredible 24 years and 12 clubs. He also has 84 caps for England, making him our 10th most capped player of all time. “Butch” captained his boyhood club, Chelsea, aged just 19 and won the FA Cup with Man Utd in 1983. His England career included the 1980 European Championships and the 1982 and ’86 World Cups.
Matthew Le Tissier...One of the most naturally gifted players England has ever produced, Matt is one of a rare breed of footballers…a one club man. He made 443 appearances for Southampton between 1986 and 2002, scoring 162 goals. Known for his spectacular strikes Matt also scored an incredible 49 out of 50 penalties during his career.
Gary Mabbutt...Nobody has made more appearances for Tottenham Hotspur than Gary Mabbutt. The former Spurs captain spent 16 years at White Hart Lane, making 482 appearances. In that time he won the UEFA and the FA Cup as well as winning 16 England caps.
Question: If you had one question to ask these legends about how football has progressed since their playing days, what would it be?
Good Luck
