I Cant Comment On The Spam Never Registered But Have Used This Site Alot To Find Train Information Never Recieved Unwanted Pop Ups And Train Information Very Useful

I have never had a problem with this site.
I have registered my email address with this site, and haven't experience any kind of spam.

Although the site is useful for travellers with this respected train operating company until they have sorted out the problem with spam I would not recommend leaving your email address. Recently I emailed SWT about my concerns and received this encouraging reply on 21 Sep 07.
"Dear Mr Bond,
Thank you for alerting us to the Spam emails that you have been receiving as a result of using our website. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that this has caused and would like to reassure you that we are taking the matter very seriously.
The data storage method that we use does comply with principle seven of the Data Protection Act but as a result of your feedback and further testing we are putting measures in place to enhance our on site security to avoid Spam being able to penetrate our web
forms in future. We are working on this and will have the matter
fixed as soon as possible.
As a measure to counteract the Spam you are receiving, we would recommend that you report the addresses to your email service provider whom can then take the necessary actions to prevent future Spam being delivered from these senders.
We value your feedback and thank your for taking the time to bring this to our attention."

Its Norton something or other, it tells you whether the website is spammy or will spam you or not, most of the time its wrong :rolleyes:

Some other [STRIKE]idiot[/STRIKE] sorry comper did this earlier, about the same company, but citing McAfee.

Neither are worth the money they cost to have (or the space they take up, on your hard disk or on threads!), and are nowhere near as efficient - in all senses - as the free stuff available via this site.

I've been entering these comps from this site for ages and never had a problem.

I'd advise that peops go ahead and enter, worry free.
