E: 31/03 Win Wake Up With Elmo On DVD

To coincide with the 30th anniversary since the creation of Sesame Street’s most popular character, ELMO, Abbey Home Media will be releasing Elmo’s World – Wake up with Elmo! (25th February) on DVD.

The DVD follows Elmo and his friends as they attempt to learn a variety of everyday activities. Buttoning a shirt, brushing teeth or going to bed are all given the ‘Elmo’ treatment teaching children in a fun and entertaining way. Elmo’s World is the perfect place for preschoolers to learn about the world around them and offers adults the opportunity to experience everyday things through the eyes of a three year old.

This is the first time any Sesame Street programme has been available on the DVD format in the U.K. Sesame Street is one of the longest running U.S. TV shows in history, as well as being the recipient of more Emmy Awards (109) than any other.

Elmo’s World consists of 15-20 minutes segments featuring Elmo, a red furry monster perpetually 3 ½ years old who speaks in the third person. The show also features Mr. Noodle, a human mime character, and Elmo's pet goldfish, Dorothy. Each Elmo’s World episode features catchy music and special animated segments mixed with live action footage to stimulate pre-schooler’s imagination.

The DVD comes complete with a special ‘Good Behaviour Wall Chart’ giving parents the opportunity to chart their children’s progress as they learn along with Elmo.
