I wondered if any body has heard of The IVA Council??
Both my husband and I began an IVA in August last year, this company knew this and said in their letter to us that we may have been misled by the company who sold it to us.
Is this company legit??? or are they a bunch of cowboys trying to get our money?? Any help would be most appreciated.

As taplady has shown, these people are well known and are to be avoided like the plague.
Just because they know you are in an IVA doesn't mean they are legitimate or have your best interests at heart. The online register of people who are currently bankrupt or in an IVA is searchable by any member of the public.
See: Bankruptcy/IVA search
Try searching for yourself HERE, and you will see how easy it is for any company to get hold of the details they need for this type of letter.

DO NOT USE THE IVA COUNCIL TO ARRANGE YOUR IVA, please please contact the CCCS, they are a debt charity, they will and do arrange your IVA/DMP for free and their advice will be honest and open, unlike companies who charge you.

Blimey.
Thanks for posting this honey.
They sound like a right bunch, and I bet loads of other people have had the same letter. (as if people don't have enough to worry about!)
Blimmin' chancers until proven otherwise I reckon.
