Based on the gripping book by best-selling author Robert Ludlum (The Bourne trilogy), The Rhinemann Exchange arrives on DVD on the February 25 for the very first time courtesy of Universal-Playback.
Filled with international intrigue and suspense, this World War II thriller follows U.S. intelligence officer David Spaulding (Stephen Collins) who is undercover completing fact-finding missions across Europe. Once the hostilities of the war break out, Spaulding is relocated to Argentina for a top-secret mission by the Allies, where he runs into old flame Leslie Jenner Hawkewood (Lauren Hutton).
Spaulding’s assignment in Argentina is to arrange the exchange of industrial diamonds required by the Germans who posses the technology for gyroscopes essential for the Allies to track their war planes.
Unaware that his bosses have struck a deal with the enemy, agent David Spaulding faces a number of perilous predicaments arranged by the Germans, including the supervised exchange of the diamonds by expatriate German industrialist Erich Rhinemann.
Mysterious assassins begin to hunt Spaulding wherever he goes and the game changes as dark truths, hidden secrets and a network of players emerge to put an end to the transaction.
Suddenly Spaulding is the only man who can save the world from the horrible truth of The Rhinemann Exchange.
