After an alien life form crashes to earth in a space shuttle disaster, a mysterious disease begins to spread. Catalysed during sleep, it turns the infected host into an emotionless being – a real life walking zombie. It is up to New York psychologist, Carol Bennell (Kidman) and her doctor friend, Ben Driscoll (Craig) to save Carol’s son, keep the infection at bay and make it to safety in the quarantine area…and they must never fall asleep!
