Alphabeat release ''Fascination on 3rd March. The download is available now.

For a band with just one limited 10" single release and a handful of UK shows under their belt, Alphabeat have got a lot of people talking. Ever since they made the move from Copenhagen to a shared house in East London, these six young Danes have been winning over critics, club kids, indie scenesters and fashionistas alike with their infectious brand of high-octane, organically produced modern pop and incendiary live performances. The aforementioned 10"" debut - the band''s signature tune ''Fantastic Six'' - provided a taste of the pleasures to come, but one listen to new single ''Fascination'', and you know that this band are going to make 2008 their own.

Originally hailing from Denmark's answer to Motown - the small town of Silkeborg is best known for its proliferation of car dealerships - the band have already released three hit singles and a platinum album on home soil, scooping up awards and pleasing crowds with an incredible live show, in turn establishing the band as a must-see act on the European festival circuit.

Following a one-off London show at the beginning of 2007 and a good, old-fashioned bidding war Alphabeat signed a deal with EMI imprint Charisma in the summer and now stand, instruments poised, on the brink of UK chart success.

Alphabeat''s combine the passion and energy of CSS at their happiest and The B-52's at their un-'Love Shack'iest best with selected highlights of the last 30 years of innovative pop thrown in for good measure. Alphabeat's proposition is simple - it's 100% sunshine-fuelled, feel-good music whose chief aim is to prompt the moving of feet. 'It's all pop,' says Anders B, the band's chief songwriter. "We're into melody. We're influenced by things, of course, but you'd never guess what just by listening to our music." Alphabeat's talents, then, lie in each member throwing their favourite records into a huge pop hamster wheel before clambering in and running around so fast that the whole vision blends into a blurry but perfectly focused celebration of being very, very alive.

'Fantastic Six' made a load of fans for Alphabeat in club land with DJs including Sinden, Rob Da Bank, Loose Cannons and Eddy Temple Morris all recognising it's uncanny ability to create havoc on dancefloors. 'Fascination' will no doubt follow in it's footsteps, with remixes from Linus Loves, FRANKMUSIK and Count Of Monte Cristal (aka Sinden and Herv) working the angles.

In keeping with Alphabeat's unique brand of day-glo maximalism, the band have roped in hot-as-hell east-London artist Eine as their in house designer. Check his site - https://www.einesigns.co.uk - or the streets of east London, to see why many in the art world are calling him "the next Banksy".

With a UK club tour and a handful of London shows already under their belts, Alphabeat kick off 2008 with another jaunt around the UK with Palladium - see full list of dates below. With 'Fascination' set to build on the not insubstantial success 'Fantastic Six' achieved for the band at radio (not to mention a riot of a video that is set to explode all over the TV), Alphabeat will be providing the sonic sunshine we need to see us through the dark days of winter.
