. The promoter of the competition is The History Channel (“Promoter”), Grant Way, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 5QD.
2. The competition is open to residents of the UK and excludes employees (and their families) of the Promoter, English Heritage, British Sky Broadcasting Limited and their associated companies and the closing date for entries is 11 April 2008 (“Closing Date”).
3. Entry’s must be submitted online at https://www.theidealhomeshow.co.uk.
4. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. Proof of age may be required.
5. Only 1 entry per person is permitted.
6. By entering the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
7. All correct entries will be entered into a draw and the winner will be selected at random from all correct entries received by the Closing Date, subject to the Promoter’s final decision (“Winner”).
8. The Winner will be notified in writing by a representative of the Promoter within 7 days of the draw (“Notification Period”) by either email or phone. The Winner accepts and acknowledges that the Promoter reserves the right to extend the Notification Period to a number of days, as reasonably required.
9. The chosen Winner will subject to clause (i) below receive;
a. and a voucher on behalf of English Heritage (“Complimentary Voucher”),
(“the Prize”)
b. the Complimentary Voucher shall be subject to the English Heritage Terms and Conditions set out below.
(i) the entrant and Winner acknowledges and accepts that the Promoter reserves the right to change the Prize, should the Prize become unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Prize awarded to the Winner shall be at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
10. The Promoter’s decision on the Winner is final, and no correspondence or discussion concerning the result will be entered into.
11. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries not properly received, incomplete, incomprehensible or delayed. The Prize is as stated and no alternative will be offered.
12. The Winner has 28 days after notification in which to inform Promoter in writing at the address of the Promoter that they accept the Prize. Failure to accept within this time-limit will result in the Prize being reoffered elsewhere.
13. Promoter and dmg World Media reserve the right to publish the name and home town or county of the Winner(s) in any future publications.
14. Should the Prize become unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Prize at any time.
15. Please note that dates set out in these terms and conditions may be subject to change at any time.
The Complimentary Voucher – English Heritage Terms and Conditions
1. This offer is only valid at properties managed directly by English Heritage and entitles the bearer to one complimentary admission, subject to the provisions set out above and below.
2. Not valid in conjunction with guided tours, annual membership, family tickets, overseas visitor pass, any other discount or special offer. Not valid at Lulworth Castle in Dorset or York Bunker in Yorkshire.
3. Further to acceptance by the Winner of the Complimentary Voucher this offer must be exercised between 11 April 2008 and 31st March 2009. This offer shall exclude event days and bank holiday weekends. To avoid disappointment, please contact the site before you set out.
4. All bookings are subject to availability.
5. No booking shall be deemed as accepted by English Heritage until English Heritage has communicated confirmation of the booking to the Winner.
6. This voucher must be redeemed and surrendered upon entry and allows only one complimentary admission per voucher. Damaged or photocopied vouchers will not be accepted, the promoter accepts no liability for lost or stolen vouchers. Not redeemable for cash.
