WIN SIGNED LIVERPOOL BOOKS!
An Anfield Anthology collects together a number of the best articles written by acclaimed football writer Paul Tomkins (check out his website here) since 2000/01 for a variety of websites, as well as new and previously unpublished works.
The book covers many of the issues surrounding Liverpool FC since the turn of the millennium, and the highs and lows of the reigns of Houllier and Benitez. It includes discussions of off-field issues such as moving away from Anfield, playing a Champions League match on the night of 9/11, and most recently, the fallout between Benitez and American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett at the back end of 2007.
The book also includes the author's candid appraisals, and updates, for some of the older pieces. There are also articles discussing legendary figures such as Ian Rush, Kenny Dalglish, Robbie Fowler, John Barnes, Ray Kennedy, Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and the latest Kop idol, Fernando Torres.
