I've survived

My OR Interview.

A very tense 56 minutes.

Alot of questions going back 5 years about my spending habits and saying i should have done something about it sooner really, when did i realise i couldnt afford to payback my creditors etc etc.
He thanked me for sending in so much paperwork as it will help him do his report and make the interview shorter.

Good news, he says my car is exempt as i use it for work. They dont contact landlords or letting agents unless they are a creditor because your in arrears but did say they may see the advert in the local paper so its not guaranteed for them not to know. No IPA at the moment as not enough surplus income.
Will lose my motorbike but i expected that but i could keep it if i could find someone to pay a proportion of the value for me. The bit that shocked me is that they would only be looking for the auction value which is about 50% of face value, that seems so daft to me, i thought it was their duty to reclaim what assets they could for my creditors  , so i have 7 days to decide what to do.

So i've got to wait now to see if he needs any more info or clarification while he writes his report, he wasn't happy with my spending habits on my credit cards during a few months early last year so i expect to get some form of BO from the courts:o .

Ok i'm off to work now so will come back later and fill you in with more details.
Life is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, i almost made it to the top but now i'm at the bottom again and its a very long ladder to the top. I had it all and now its gone

Not too bad stuff really, though i'm concerned about you getting BO from the courts:confused: they not heard of deodorant...

I do wish they'd make there minds up though, one OR the other week was saying that they 'have' to inform the LL as its part of their duty regardless of any debt to them, now this one says they don't have to..tut, makes it so difficult to offer accurate advice to others when they move the goal posts.

  • Glad it wasn't as bad as you thought it could be. I know you were a bit anxious last night. Have a nice drink when you get in tonight,

  • Glad to hear all went well, scary going back over 5yrs though if that had been me i'd have struggled..usually I cant remember what I did yesterday! good news though about the car as well, although as BLTN said I wish they'd make a final desicion about informing landlords etc problem is each office deal with things in their own ways!

    Thanks all.

Damn it i meant BRO not BO :rotfl: :rotfl: .

I was quite surprised when i asked about contact with landlords and he said its not something they do at all unless they are a creditor on your SOA, so yes it seems to change between office's.
