</td></tr></tbody></table>THE most celebrated television play of the 1970s is being performed at The Lights on 7 and 8 March and The Andover Advertiser has three pairs of tickets to give away.
Abigail's Party has been staged in countless theatrical productions around the world and now it's Andover's turn to see the action.
An appalling evening of domestic entertaining in surbubia takes place entirely in a confined living room in the home of Beverly and Laurence.
None of the party guests seem to like each other, the relationships between the couples appear to be based on mutual irritation and all seem self-preoccupied.
Nor are any of them particularly likeable, which allows a comic mood to prevail even when events darken.
The play is dominated by the overbearing hostess Beverly and her clich!d phrases fail to disguise a truly monstrous individual.
Yet her awfulness is captivating and defined by a set of attitudes which don't fit together, she hides her lack of identity behind her ideas of taste.
To win a pair of tickets to the 7 March performance answer the following question: What's the name of Beverly's partner?
1. Harold 2. Mark 3. Laurence Please send your entries to Abigail's Party competition (subject) , Leisure Desk, Andover Advertiser 24-32 London Street, Andover, Hants, SP10 2PE. Or email leisuredesk@andoveradvertiser.co.uk
