You will stay in Ascrib Cottage Apartment, a charming island retreat which invites you to take of your boots, wriggle your toes, ease those weary feet. Light candles, pour fine wine and snuggle up to romance the hours away! Escape, whatever YOUR reason, to candlelight by its open fire!
With Jacuzzi, canopy beds, open fire, fireside sunsets, superb seaviews, candles and flowers an island welcome awaits you. A charismatic and traditional highland family home, inspired by highland and celtic heritage and the magnificent outdoor environment, a few added luxuries and some quirky touches will soon endear fond memories. It’s a perfect setting to relax, and unwind while the stresses of everyday life ebb away. From the fireside enjoy the tremendous horizons of the Outer Hebridean Isles of Harris, aflame with summer sunset and simply captivating year round. Step outdoors and take a stroll in the evening twilight where the peace and tranquility is as resounding as the light is magical! You will even be able to read a book outdoors listening to birdsong!

On a croft beside Dun Flashadder, Ascrib is well placed for exploring North West Skye, a short drive to Portree and Duvegan and close to famous neighbour Waternish. There is so much to do that you’ll not have enough time. Spot whales and basking shark at Neist Point where a finger of crooked land curls the sea to a whirlpool, guarded by a bright white lighthouse. Seek cheeky otters, slippery seals, majestic deer and bird life abundant, while embracing fresh air in the coastal walks and hills. Take a boat trip, discover secret beaches hear the call of the restless ocean, take home some driftwood and a special memory from the island of clear blue seas.
Steeped in heritage and history, culture and music, studio trails and workshops, historical sites, and Dunvegan Castle, endless daylight is your gift to help fit it all in.
As flowers in bloom scent the evening air and the corncrake calls; its time to linger over dinner in some of Skye’s famous and finest restaurants. Straight from the sea, off the hill or locally grown its hard to match.
So go on take this chance treat yourself to some magical midsummer skyelight?
