Where would we be without our marvellous mums? Everyone's mother is special and The Evening Telegraph is launching a very special contest to highlight the city's special mums.
Why not prove your mum is the best of the bunch by nominating her for our Marvellous Mum competition, organised in association with our friends at Queensgate shopping centre?
Mother's Day is on Sunday, March 2, and The ET is asking you to tell us what makes your mother special by commenting below and entering the competition.
She might have overcome life changing difficulties, she might have a demanding job or she might just cook the best apple crumble in town!
The competition, which launches today and runs until Wednesday, February 27 (entries to be received by 4pm) gives you the opportunity to tell us why you think your mum should be awarded the prestigious title for 2008 and be in with the chance of winning a host of Mother's Day treats, courtesy of the Queensgate shopping centre.
We also want to hear what makes your mum special so we can feature as many as possible in our special Mothers' Day feature.
Evening Telegraph editor Mark Edwards said: "This is a chance to sing the praises of mums across the area. We want to highlight all the great things about local mums."
To enter your mum into the competition use this online form or e-mail your mum's details (and your own contact details along with your reason for nominating) to jemma.walton@peterboroughtoday.co.uk, if you email an entry please put Marvellous Mum in the subject line. You can also call our Marvellous Mum reporter Jemma Walton on 588722.
All nominations will be put to a panel of judges from both the Evening Telegraph and Queensgate shopping centre, who will select three finalists.
One will go on to be crowned Marvellous Mum 2008.
Marketing manager at Queensgate shopping centre, Phil Drinkwater, said: "Mum's work so hard every day of the year so they deserve a treat on Mother's Day.
"This is a brilliant opportunity for readers to show their mums just how much they mean to them. We're expecting the competition to be tough."
