Enter our competition to be in with a chance to win a weekend for 2 to Venice.
Venice is renowned for being one of the most romantic cities in the world and is certainly somewhere where you would like to enjoy getting hopelessly lost for a day, with its mysterious alleyways and its endless mazes of side streets and market squares. You will also have a chance to see the famous watery villages which lay the foundations for the floating palaces of today.
Take a classic ride on a gondola down the Grand Canal for a change of pace and take in all the fantastic old buildings which Venice has to offer. You’ll need to have your camera at the ready to capture the many remarkable structures such as the impressive array of bronze work, tapestries and paintings from the 5<SUP>th</SUP> to 6<SUP>th</SUP> century, as well as a whole range of amazing buildings and galleries showcasing the artistic side of Venice.
There are many places to dine out and enjoy a drink with different locations to suit all tastes. For those who prefer something more lively you cannot go wrong with the trendy and fun bars in San Polo, where there is even an Irish Pub and many discos! And for those wanting something quieter, there are many small, cosy pubs and clubs in the heart of Venice as well as many theatres and cinemas offering pleasure and diversion from dusk till dawn.
