WHAT'S IT ABOUT? Rock biopic of Ian Curtis, lead singer with gloomy post-punk legends Joy Division who committed suicide at the age of 23.

ANY GOOD? Stylish and understated, this sorrowful masterpiece upstages similar efforts such as The Doors and Johnny Cash flick Walk The Line for utter effectiveness. The music scenes are hauntingly accurate too, it's like watching ghosts. Spooky and brilliant.
