<input name="competition_entry" value="145" type="hidden">One of the most exciting live bands around are about to hit our shores for a string of UK dates on their Forces Of Victory World Tour and we've got 48 tickets to give away for their shows at Carling Academy Newcastle, Birmingham, Bristol, Brixton and Oxford - all tickets also come with a few free pints of Carling for all winners and their mates at the venues.
Since releasing the incredible 'Gypsy Punks' album in 2005, Gogol Bordello have been igniting audiences around the globe with their supercharged anarchic live shows led by enigmatic frontman Eugene Hutz. Formed in the Lower East Side of New York back in 1999, Gogol Bordello attracted a huge underground following as their spectacular energy tore the roof off clubs all over the city. Their unique gypsy punk sound mixes the core band members' Eastern European influences with dub, ska, reggae, punk, metal and rap - accordions and fiddles meet dub basslines and punk-rock guitars while the furious two-step gypsy beats provide the necessary rhythmic glue to bind the sound together. Latest album, 'SUPER TARANTA!' sees the band take their sound to a new level of intensity with Flamenco rhythms, epic basslines, blistering drumming, spaghetti western guitar licks, jaw-dropping fiddle lines and rapid-fire accordion hooks all fronted by Eugene Hutz's inspired vocals. Our only advice is to make sure you see this band live - nothing will ever be the same again!
