Just bought a Pure Evoke 2 DAB Radio from Maplins for £82.94!
This is the cheapest I have come across (The Second Cheapest was Amazon with £109). The radio is brand new and comes with free delivery. The costs on the website is £89.94, but if you subscribe to the news letter you get another £7 off the price (you can always cancel the news letter later).

Happy shopping!!!

I was hoping that digital radios would come down substantially in price, but it doesn't seem to have happened yet - anybody know why not? Thanks to all who post constructively.

I'd say £40 upwards is quite a reasonable price to pay for a DAB!!!!! Have a look around the web and pop into Sainsbury's - you'll get a cheap one there!

If they're available for £40, why is this such a great bargain at £82.94 then? Thanks to all who post constructively.

Basically, the Evoke 2 was a fairly early entrant to the DAB arena. Consequently, it commanded a fairly hefty price when it first appeared. I have an Evoke 1, and can state that it's defintely one of the best sounding DAB receivers, like the Evoke 2. As well as being well constructed; you can feel the quality of it.
I'm not knocking the cheaper receivers, such as made by Acoustic Solutions or Sainsbury's (RED), but it's all down to personal choice.
I trust this answers your question.......!

I did have a RED DB7 radio from Sainsbury’s. It was very easy to use and great value for money. The radio I bought however developed a fault (within the first few days of owning it), which made the sound quality poor and distorted. I would have done a straight exchange but the store I visited had sold out.
Now I know what Digital radio is all about I figured it was worth spending a little more money in-order to get something that I will get real enjoyment/entertainment from.0
