costs £5

was offered this at my local store - given I was spending £30 anyway, it actually cost me very little

I have one of these absolutely love it, saved 10% on all my shopping and have had a £5 free gift off them for doing 4 shops there I will also get another £5 free gift in Sept for my Birthday and if I do 4 more shops (of £10 or more) I'll get a £10 gift free.

Extra tip is that you get your card stamped when you spend more than £10 so if you're going to be spending £20 then do two spends of £10 and get your card stamped twice. Does that make sense? This'll get you to your freebies quicker.

And don't forget you still get the extra 10% off of sale goods and they e-mail you with special promotions. As you say you can't really lose with this one.

Wonder if the discount would work at the Body Shop outlet store there is one at Cheshire Oaks, maybe other places as well

The discount card is the "Love Your Body" scheme so perhaps try phoning the store and asking if they participate in the Love Your Body scheme. It does say in the small print that it is valid at participating stores so best to check with them first.

Incidentally the discount is usable with your first purchase ie when you buy the card - I mention this because I didn't get it and had to return for a refund. Also the free product you qualify for on your fourth and eighth purchase has to be taken at that time - you can't hold it over for later.

I didn't know this card came with Freebies. I am never sure whether I will spend enough in a year to cover the £5 but then always seem to end up doing so. I suppose I could also stock up near the end of the card year. The tip about small purchases to get the card stamped is a good one as well.
