Cloverfields CLICKY

Cloverfield is the brainchild of J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias) and follows the experience of five mates who throw a leaving party for their friend Rob. Just as the party is in full swing Manhattan is attacked.
Hud, one of Rob’s friends is given the task of filming the party and as a consequence of this the film is entirely shot from the handheld perspective.
Once you’ve overcome the swinging around and out-of-focus shots you’ll become engrossed in the drama that is unfolding before your eyes. J.J. Abrams and director Matt Reeves have really managed to pull off the usual camera style and 10 minutes in you’ll be hard pushed to remember that you are watching a film.
If you’re wanting to see a film that answers all the questions that it asks then Cloverfield definitely isn’t for you. However, for a bit of ‘real’ drama where you’ll be holding your breath with every move the camera takes you through Cloverfield is a definite winner.
Cloverfield is rated 15 and is released nationwide on 01 February 2008.
