Hi all. just a quickie before I dash out again.
Just got back from my mortal enemies (Tesco) and spotted these whilst I was in there getting something else that I can't get anywhere else.
Pringles tubes (Sour Cream & Onion, Salt & Vinegar, BBQ and Original) for a whopping £0.49! Yes 49p! Now, what's even better is these are the 230g tubes (the ones that say +35%) that were available at Xmas. These were on the same shelf as the normal sized tubes priced at £1.48.
Ahhh, I hear you say. Where's the catch? I bet they are nearly out of date? That's what I thought but upon checking the UBD is 2009. I asked a nearby Tesco employee who was very friendly and told me that the manager(s) had queried this offer and apparently it's because they aren't supposed to have any of these Xmas ones left. She also pointed out that if they didn't scan at 49p then that's what they'd have to sell them to me at, because that's what the SEL says.
Well, no problems at the till I'm pleased to report so all I'll say is:

Do they still do DTD at Tesco? I can't remember if they do, but if they DO, and they don't scan at 49p when the SEL has that price on, it's an even better deal!!! You'd get a refund of £1.98 per tube!!0 -
