The third bloodthirsty instalment in the hugely successful Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil: Extinction, is released to buy on DVD, Blu-ray Disc and UMD Video and to rent on DVD from February 18, courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Based on the hugely popular survival horror video games from Capcom, Resident Evil: Extinction picks up where the last film left off and finds our heroes drifting in a desolate world populated by blood-crazed zombies. Milla Jovovich resumes her role as Alice, the genetically altered zombie killer who continues her fight against the T Virus and the evil Umbrella Corporation from the dusty wilds of the Nevada Desert. Once again she is aided and hindered by Resident Evil veterans including Oded Fehr, Iain Glen and Mike Epps. Star of the hit TV series Heroes Ali Larter and R'n'B superstar Ashanti also join the cast.
Bursting with non-stop gory action and awesome special effects, the DVD and Blu-ray also boasts an array of special features, including three new behind the scenes featurettes, 11 deleted scenes and a sneak peak at the forthcoming Resident Evil: Degeneration.
