  My local ASDA (Peterlee) were selling 18 free range eggs for £1.99 last weekend.

  If these were the ones I saw last week then they were Woodland ones, so yes free range.

  Excellent! I bought 6 on Tuesday FR from Sainsburys and they cost £1.55..ouch!!
