Four days in the heart of Russia with your very own guide
From January 26th until April 18th the Royal Academy of Arts presents From Russia: French and Russian Master Paintings 1870-1925 from Moscow and St Petersburg - a unique exhibition of works from The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, The State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, The State Hermitage Museum and The State Russian Museum in St Petersburg.
For the first time ever in the United Kingdom, works from these museums have been gathered together for a single exhibition. In celebration of this, luxury tour company Exeter International in conjunction with Sky Arts are offering a once in a lifetime four day trip to St Petersburg for two with your own driver and English speaking guide.
The prize includes:
- Return economy flights to St Petersburg with British Airways
- Twin or double room in the five star Hotel Astoria
- Transfers to and from your hotel
- Meals included: daily breakfast buffet in the hotel
- Private deluxe car and driver
- English speaking tour guide
Day One Fly into Pulkovo airport and meet your driver for your transfer to the city centre. You will be staying at the Rocce Forte Hotel Astoria, situated at the very heart of St. Petersburg overlooking the landmark St. Isaac’s Cathedral, within walking distance of the renowned Hermitage Museum. Once there, you will also be taken into the exclusive Gold Treasure Rooms where you will see some of the greatest treasures of the museum, including Peter the Great's Scythian Gold Collection.
Day Three Visit the Russian Museum with your guide where you can view the rarely seen Repin Collection which includes imperial portraits that were hidden during the Communist era, along with ancient icons and some of the most famous 20th century Russian art including works by Kandinsky.
